OBITUARY NOTICES Marie Nelson Edlund Mrs. Marie- Nelson Edlund, 84, native of Sweden and active temple worker. died Thursday afternoon in a Salt Lake rest home. of causes incident to age. Born April 6, 1867, in Stockholm, she WaR a daughter of Lars and Marie Christina Palm Nelson.

She came to this country. in. 1892 and settled in Minn. Two years later. she moved to Utah.

She married John David Edlund in 1890. He preceded: her In death. Mrs. Ediund attended the Burton Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of LatIter-day Saints, and worked actively in Mrs. Ediund the Salt Lake Temple, The family home is at 23 Van Buren Ave.

Surviving are three sons, Carl Eynar E. and Allen Edlund; one daughter, Mrs. Vinnie Berg, and six grandchildren, all of Salt Lake City. Vern Palmer found dead Thursday about 4-m. in an auto court.

FRANCIS J. BRENNAN bank manager dies Bank Building Manager. Dies in S. Francis (Pat) Brennan, 52, an associate of the Continental Bank Company for 20 years, died Thursday afternoon in a Salt Lake hospital of coronary thrombosis. At the time of his death, Mr.

Brennan was manager of the bank building and of the Continental Bank and Trust Company properties. He had joined Continental in 11932. A native of Salt Lake City, Mr. Brennan was born March 6, 1900,1 son of the late Mr. and Mrs.

Andrew J. Brennan. After gradua-4 iting from the Onequa Elementary School, he went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad, working up to the position as mechanic. On July 2, 1922, he left his job there and took over as coal plant superintendent for the American Smelting and Refining Company at Garfield. He remained there until joining Continental.

Mr. Brennan figured prominently in business and civic projects of the city. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and led many of the parish activities. He also participated actively in the Knights Columbus, Council No.

602, the Salt Lake Rotary Club, and the Ambassador Athletic Club. He was an avid sports enthusiast, participating particularly in fishing and hunting. In addition 'he promoted and worked on many city projects for boys. On Sept. 2, 1924, he married Cora.
