THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS.

This is a collection of four books one for each MacDonald brother, if you're looking for a light holiday read then this could fit the bill.

Seaside seduction - 2.5*

This book features Aaron the oldest of the four MacDonald brothers. After leaving Highland Bay years ago and all making their own way the death of their father brings them back.

“To my boys, I leave their grandfather’s house and property of ten acres. And, the one hundred acres of beachfront property with that abandoned lodge their grandfather never completed...."

So all four brothers Aaron, Blake, Layne and Donnan agree to give it a year. If they couldn’t open for next summer, then they’d all go their separate ways.

Open it does but it's been a long hard year for Aaron, a year when his private life has suffered.
Aaron likes submissive women and his strict goal is to never **** the same woman more than twice, It makes life complicated.
Elsie is staying at Seaside Escape for her sisters wedding plus she has an article to write on the resort and the MacDonald brothers. Elsie is the female equivalent of Aaron , she's career orientated and never has sex with the same man more an twice.

These two are instantly attracted to each other but what will happen when they each meet their equal.

The reviews for this book are really good so I suspect it's a case of it's me not the book but this didn't completely work for me mainly because I didn't particularly like either Aaron or Elise especially....

Fine! He wants a submissive woman. But I’m going to get a submissive man!

Elsie knocked hesitantly on the door, part of her hoping he wouldn’t answer. Then again, she was eager to comply with his demand; knowing the result would mean more pleasure for her. Could she play him into the submissive role?

Seaside Playboy - 3*

This is the second book in the MacDonald series and features the carefree playboy brother Donnan and it's a nice easy read.

Donnan is definitely a ladies man and he's happy with his single status. He's the Activities Director at Seaside Escape and as the greets his latest group, a hen party one of the bachelorettes catches his eye, she's different from the rest.

Emina is being blackmailed into marriage but can't see any way out, her number one priority is her young brother Amar and Vitaly is using him to control her.

Donnan finds himself attracted to Emina like he's never been attracted to anyone before and he finds that the thought of HEA with one woman doesn't scare him when that woman is Emina.

I had a few issues.... I know, when don't I?

Firstly for a man who knows women I couldn't believe that he felt Rock climbing, surf lessons and sailing were options a group of high maintenance bachelorettes would want to do at a hen party.

“Whoa...slow down there.” He didn’t want to sleep with this woman, but the one he wanted was taken. His first activity meeting had been a pretty big bust, and he could at least forget about it for a few hours while he was buried deep in a woman. Finally, he gave up the struggle and let go of Peace’s hand.
Clumsily she fumbled with the tab on his zipper, opened his fly, and freed him. The woman dropped down to her knees. Life could be worse, right? He closed his eyes and waited for her lips to surround his co*ck. He waited...and then waited for....

Yet he tells Emina.

"My reputation precedes me. I really had no plans on having sex with Peace. I was all talk. She was way too drunk, and I’m not into necrophilia. My plan was to take her to her room, drop her off, and say goodnight.” He laughed. “When we arrived, she yanked me inside and got one shoe off before she passed out..."

Seaside Rendezvous - 3*

This book features the third MacDonald brother Layne who's been a bit of a mystery for us so far.

This is going to sound crazy but this is my favourite yet also least favourite of the brothers books so far.

Raven Solis is beautiful with an amazing body which she uses since she's a paint dancer at a local club, she paints the guests and they paint her. I'm showing my age now as the first thing that came to mind was how unsafe it is throwing paint around, what if someone gets it in their eyes and don't get me started on the mess.

But I digress.
Raven is working when she comes across a man who has no idea how he got there and he seems totally out of place. She assumes he's either drunk or he's been slipped something and she just can't bring herself to leave him so she takes him home with her.

The man in question turns out to be Layne MacDonald lawyer and part owner of the Seaside Escape. Despite the brief time they've known each other there's something there, they are both exactly what the other wants and needs.

What did I like?
I liked that this was different from the previous two, I liked Raven and Layne grew on me. This seemed fresher and somehow brighter and kept me reading.

Problems?
I didn't particularly like the writing style it seemed choppy at times but I suspect that's a result of trying to cram a story into so few words, I think this would have worked better as a longer read where we could get more of a feel for the characters.

Seaside Passion - 3*

This book features Blake the youngest of the MacDonald brothers.

Callie has been with Curtis for five years they were talking marriage and getting ready for a romantic getaway at Seaside Escape so to say she was shocked to find him cheating on her with his secretary would be a huge understatement.
Annoyed and upset she decides to use the paid accommodation rather than waste it and this is where she meets Blake.

The attraction is instant but both have baggage and the question is can Blake get over his insecurities?
He truly believes he's damaged goods and is incapable of love.

Like the previous books this is an easy light read, I liked both Blake and Callie.

This just annoyed me.

The Mac Brothers series was just what I needed to start off my summer! 4 brothers, each with their own life story and we're treated to a book about each of them starting with Aaron, who sets the stage for the background of the book and the other 3 brothers.

Set in beautiful coastal Nova Scotia, Aaron gets a call from the family attorney that his father has died and he and his brothers need to come home to discuss his will. While the brothers may be scattered across the country the bond there is strong and powerful. Aaron is the oldest and after their mother leaves them, their father divides his time between fishing and drinking leaving Aaron pretty much to raise his brothers.

When Aaron returns home, he finds that not only have they inherited the old family farmhouse, but also a 100 acre piece of land with the remnants of a resort their grandfather started to build years ago.
Aaron seeing potential and the terms of the will being pivotal, waits for the arrival of his brothers to make a final and unanimous decision. The 4 agree to rebuild Seaside, making it an exclusive resort and each of them taking responsibility for an aspect of the business.

The three other brothers each have their own book, with their own story and of course their own woman who unexpectedly shows up and upends each of their lives. I loved them all, but I think Blake was my favorite. The man can cook! He's a keeper. You'll love each of them, bring out the fan because these brothers are hot!

A huge thank you to all the authors, Angela, Natalie, Tammy and Jennifer!
The book was over the top!!

THE MAC BROTHERS ARE TOGETHER AGAIN

With the death of the MacDonald’s father, the four sons are asked to return to Highland Bay to hear the reading of the will. It will come with surprises that the brothers never knew about and worth exploring. Will it be something that these four brothers can join in together and make work, and bring them back together again? Summertime just got a whole lot hotter in Highland Bay at Seaside Escape Resort.

Seaside Seduction (The Mac Brothers #1) by Angela Ford
RULES WERE MADE TO BE BROKEN

Aaron MacDonald is the oldest of the Mac brothers, the one that had to grow and take care of his younger brothers and be the adult after their Mom abandoned them, and their father quit being responsible. When he returns to Highland Bay, a place he couldn’t wait to leave when he was younger, it will come with memories and unexpected news—an abandoned lodge, started by their grandfather and left for the boys. Now decisions for their future will need to be decided.

Aaron has rules he adheres to with women, he likes them submissive, and he has a two times rule, and then it ends. He doesn’t have time for relationships and doesn’t want complications. Then the first wedding booked into the newly opened Seaside Escape Resort, and he meets Elsie Chisholm.
Elsie is the maid of honor and sister to Katie, and her wedding will be the first for the resort. Elsie lives and works in New York and is making partner in Modern Woman magazine. She will feature the new resort and MacDonald brothers in the next issue. Elsie is a woman who knows her sexuality, what she wants, but has a no-commitment rule, it is all fun and done.

The plot will have two people, both very career oriented meeting at the Seaside Resort for a wedding. Elsie and Aaron both feel an instant sexual attraction. Can they enjoy the sexual chemistry for a little fling, part ways, and then go back to business as usual?

The chemistry between Aaron and Elsie sizzles off the pages when they come together. Each will discover a little give and take adds to their explosive encounters. The story is a steamy romance, with detailed descriptions of their sexual intimacy.

Seaside Playboy (The Mac Brothers #2) by Jennifer Conner
A CHAIN IS ONLY AS STRONG AS THE WEAKEST LINK

Donnan MacDonald has a reputation for being a playboy. He has enjoyed life, living carefree, but deep down, he is ready for stability. With the death of the MacDonald’s father, and a trip back to Highland Bay, the boys discover that they didn’t just inherit their late grandfather’s house, but he had started building a resort, and they decided to complete and open it for business. The four Mac Brothers decide that family is important, and they will make this legacy into the Seaside Escape Resort. He has been ready to settle down, and this is the first step to making it happen.

Donnan loves the outdoors, hiking, fishing, sailing, or surfboarding. He will become the activities director for Seaside, and that will include activities for their guest, but his years traveling and working in restaurants gives him an edge for an insight into creating the right atmosphere for various venues.

A group of ladies will come for a bachelorette week of fun and sun. Donnan has lined up various outdoor activities for these ladies who are all models. Emira is the bride, and she is down to earth, wholesome and wants to enjoy the outdoors. What happens when she falls and is injured during a strenuous hike and can’t leave for a photo shoot?

Emira is a prisoner to her fiancé, Vitaly, who uses his power and connections to force her to his will. With her 10-year-old brother, Amar, in boarding school, Vitaly threatens her to have him deported back to Bosnia.

The plot will have Emira living in fear, not for herself, but for her brother. She loathes Vitaly, but he has control over her money and sponsorship over her brother. What Donnan and Emira never counted on, was developing feelings for each other. The physical attraction is only part of it; there is an erotic bond that develops between these two. How far is Donnan willing to go to help Emira and will she accept his assistance? “You’ve been my knight in shining armor, but you can’t make my enemy disappear.”

The story is a steamy romance, with detailed descriptions of their sexual intimacy. The story is part of a four-book collection, by four different authors. It does have an HEA ending and does not end on a cliffhanger.

Seaside Rendezvous (The Mac Brothers #3) by Natalie-Nicole Bates
AN ANGEL NAMED RAVEN

Layne MacDonald has moved back to Highland Bay, along with his three brothers, and have restored and opened a resort that was started by their late grandfather. Layne gave up his law practice in Los Angeles and is now an attorney in Highland Bay. He is smart, sexy, and successful, but he lacks what he wants the most, to settle down with a wife and children.

Raven has dreams and goals to become a promoter for nightclubs. She works at Paint, the hottest paint dance club where she is one of the dancers. Her job includes whipping the crowd into a frenzy. Meeting a man dressed in an expensive suit, and realizing he is confused, she worries he has been drugged. An incident with security and management will cost her her job and alter her plans. Seeing the man outside, she knows she can’t just leave him alone and offers him help and takes him home.

No good deed goes unpunished, and for Layne to put up with an old girlfriend, Stacy, who insist on going to Paint and then abandons him. It will lead him to be assisted by Raven. In return, helping Raven with her jerk employer will allow him the opportunity to thank her for her kindness.

The plot will bring two very unlikely people together where the beginning of a friendship develops but will escalate into an erotic relationship. “I don’t know how I got so lucky having you dance your way into my life.” Both Layne and Raven have suffered hardships in childhood, and each having goals for their future. They are the yin to the other one's yang. “Their entire relationship was a whirlwind of pleasure and happiness.” The chemistry between Layne and Raven sizzles off the pages in this steamy romance. For Layne to be an attorney, he sometimes says the wrong thing and is slow to react, but I am sure Raven will keep him balanced.

The story is a steamy romance, with detailed descriptions of their sexual intimacy. The story is part of a four-book collection, by four different authors. It does have an HEA ending and does not end on a cliffhanger.

Seaside Passion (The Mac Brother #4) by Tammy Tate
EITHER HE WAS DOWNRIGHT CRAZY OR HOPELESSLY IN LOVE

Blake MacDonald is the youngest of the MacDonald brothers and the one with the least memories of a mother who abandoned her family and a father who gave up hope. Raised by his older brothers, especially Aaron, like them, when he was old enough to leave home, he did with no plans to every return. But the death of their father brings the Mac brothers back to Highland Bay with decisions to be made and new business adventures to conquer.

Callie Patterson has been with her live-in boyfriend for five years, planning an anniversary getaway to the Seaside Escape will come as a party of one when she catches him his secretary. With the trip prepaid and non-refundable, it will give her a week to assess her situation. What she didn’t count on was meeting Blake MacDonald.

The plot will have two people meet and feel an attraction. Callie thinks the last thing she needs to be thinking about is another man, but there is something about Blake that appeals to her. Blake feels that he is broken and has no love to give, but Callie makes him feel things he has never experienced before. “Life is about taking chances, pushing limits and boundaries and not caring if that opinion was popular.” What will happen when Curtis shows up, and Callie agrees to go off with him? Was the last several days just a break for her? Blake and Callie will learn that each day is a new beginning and you can’t live in the past.

The story has intimacy but it not overly detailed. The story is part of a four-book collection, by four different authors. It does have an HEA ending and does not end on a cliffhanger.

The Mac Brother Series-

•"Seaside Seduction"
3.5 Stars! The first book in this series, "Seaside Seduction", is Aaron & Elsie's story. It's a good story but I found it quite confusing at times. It's a fast read & the story develops very fast, which I found a bit annoying. I wish it was longer & I would've liked the story to be explained in more detail. While reading this story, I sometimes felt like I had skipped parts of the story but it was just how it was written, it jumped from point to point which got a little confusing.

•"Seaside Playboy"
4.5 Stars! The second book of the series, "Seaside Playboy", was partially brought up in the first book, "Seaside Seduction". I really liked this story! It had a heroine in distress & a hero, Donnan, there to save her but the heroine, Emina, wasn't a weakling. Plus the ending was really good too! This story kept me reading late into the night! I'd recommend reading the first book in this series before starting on this book!

•"Seaside Rendezvous"
4.5 Stars! I loved Layne & Raven's story, the third book in the series!! It was a super short read but it felt complete! The story developed at what seemed like a normal pace & I didn't feel like anything was left out & I wasn't confused about anything! I would have liked for his brothers & where they all are at in life, & in the series, to be mentioned but the story was still worth reading! Such a cute story & I really enjoyed reading it!

•"Seaside Passion"
5 Stars! Blake & Callie's story has to be my favorite in the series! It had a few surprises & I loved it! Everything developed at a good pace & the ending was great! Such a cute story that has me wanting to move to Nova Scotia!! I did notice a few parts didn't match up with the other books but it didn't take away from the story. I loved this story!

•"The Mac Brothers Series"-
4-4.5 Stars! The series as a whole was worth reading! I really enjoyed reading about the Mac brothers! I wish each story was longer but they were really good for being as short as they were. I say read the series, it was worth it!

The Mac Brothers Series
All the story can be read as a Standalone because there is not the red line that connects the stories
3 stars Seaside Seduction
is a story of the oldest of brothers to fall in love. Aaron is the one who summoned al brother and convinces them to all return in their home town. So Arone falls for their guest a free spirit Elsie. Elsie and Aaron have their chemistry and attraction, are good characters, but I don't know I was not impressed with their story it was not special or memorable. The whole style of writing was for me a little bit dull, uninterest. So I was here and there bored by reading it. Quick easy read.
2 Stars Seaside Playboy
This was the least favorite story of the series. The style writing was too uninteresting so I did a lot of speed reading and jump a lot of sentences. For me there felt the integrity of the story. Donnan and Emina really quick fell for each other. They are ok but I didn't fell in love with them. A quick easy read.
4. 5 stars Seaside Rendezvous
was for me the best book of the story. I loved both Layn and Raven. Their story is unique, funny and interesting. How they meet, and how their first acquaintance develops in relationship beautifully. It is truly an interesting story quick but memorable. Layn and Raven great persons both with problems and story from the past that they are not proud of. But they find each other and also the Raven is a little bit of impulsive and Layn a bit slow by the latest problem the love saves it all.
Seaside Passion is a story with suspense and unpredictable events toward the end. Black and Callie find love in this book. A dentist with for him a great secret and flaw and Calie woman who is trying to forget the betrayal of her last boyfriend. In the resort, they find in each other something special and something that was missing in other relationship. Callie helps see that Black is capable of love and Black helps Callie to live life with whole lungs.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

What a fun read! Four stories about four brothers who return home after their father dies and leaves them a run down resorts. Fast forward, they have all relocated to get the resort up and running, and live in Highland Bay. Each story is unique as these brothers!

Aaron is the first to fall which is surprising when he has a two time limit on sex with a woman but when he meets Elsie, he asks her for a third time but SHE turns him down!! It is also great that Aaron is used to submissive women and Elsie is anything but submissive!

Next to give up the bachelor life is playboy, Donnan. He meets Emina who is there for her bachelorette party but Donnan finds that she is being forced into the marriage and he will do anything to help her out of this situation - even marrying her.

Layne is the next brother who meets Raven, She finds him wandering around a club after being drugged and takes him home and keeps him safe until the drugs wear off. This story had a lot of drama as Raven finds out she is pregnant but Layne is shocked and really makes a mess of things. Fortunately, he figures out a how to win her over and he realizes that he has what he has always wanted - a family.

Blake is the youngest brother and Callie who decides to keep her reservation when she finds her boyfriend cheating on her. This story was a little darker as her boyfriend, Curtis, had an ulterior motive for dating her and was not a nice guy, but he really got what he deserved in the end!

These brothers are not only hot, tattooed, gorgeous men, but all have a heart of gold and work to win over the women that have captured their hearts. Each story has a great HEA!

Seaside Seduction By Angela Ford.
Aaron and Elsie were a fast love match that had me reeling right with them. It was full of hot passion and left me with a permanent smile the entire time. I especially loved the ending. Very powerful show of love! Book gifted to me as part of a set.
Seaside Playboy by Jennifer Conner
Donna and Emina were on fire from the beginning. Their story was also full of heated passion and suspense thrown into this whirlwind romance to make it that much better. Book gifted to me as part of a set.
Seaside Rendevous By Natalie-Nicole Bates
This romance started with a speed that if you blinked you would miss it. That did not take away from its intensity, but only added to it. This romance started with a big spark and ended with a huge bang. Raven and Layne were perfect together and I drawn into their story immediately. It had passion, purpose and vulnerability that melted my heart and reminded me why I continually love reading books by this author! Book gifted to me.
Seaside Passion by Tammy Tate
Blake and Cassie's story was healing, full of passion, and action filled drama. The Mac Brothers are alluring and sexy. Each book in this set was amazing!

I like reading series, anthologies and sibling series. Having said that “The Mac Brothers” is a short read with a totally new set of writers I’ve never ever read. Typically it’s difficult to encompass a good plot in short novellas, and some writers are pros and some not so much.

With this set of authors – Angela Ford, Jennifer Connor, Natalie-Nicole Bates, Tammy Tate, I wish they had expanded a tad bit more to create a better foundation of the characters. As much as I liked reading them, there was definitely a spark missing. As I’ve never read any of their full-length books, I can’t really judge them on this book, but I definitely did enjoy the stories.

Going Back Home

If you enjoy series about brothers then you just might enjoy this book. Some readers may not care for the beginnings of the books in 2-4 as they can rehash some of book one. This is a pet peeve of mind but it did not bother me as much as I thought it would as I continued to read the other stories.

The books are not super long but you will get a good beginning, a decent middle, and a satisfactory ending without leaving story lines hanging.

You will be able to visualize all the brothers clearly, understand their character and get to know their issues.

Four books for the price of one worth the cost.

I have voluntarily read and reviewed this advance reader copy from the author without obligation to do so.

The Mac Brothers is a fabulous series that brings readers the stories of:

Aaron MacDonald - Seaside Seduction by Angela Ford;
Donnan MacDonald - Seaside Playboy by Jennifer Conner;
Layne MacDonald - Seaside Rendezvous by Natalie-Nicole Bates;
Blake MacDonald - Seaside Passion by Tammy Tate.

Reunited due to a tragedy, these rugged, tough as nails bad boys are homeward bound and unprepared for what will befall them once they hit their beloved Nova Scotia.

I loved each story and look forward to reading more from each of these talented authors.

Enjoyable read with a delightful story line that I found hard to put down. The characters are strong and determined with great interactions.Aaron and Elsie are both career minded individuals but have a unique sexual chemistry together. Can't wait to see what's next in this series.

The Mac Brothers Series is four short romances from different authors. I really liked how the complete series was in one book. I enjoyed reading about the Mac family dynamics. The reason I gave it four stars and not five was that I would have like story lines to be a little longer. I wish I could have gotten to know each character better however it was still a fun read. I would recommend this book.

4 short stories about 4 brothers written by 4 different authors. The 1st story was okay and laid the platform for the others. The second book has timing discrepancies and enough typos to be distracting although the plot was good. The 3rd and 4th stories were my favs giving me a taste of the authors writing and I will look for more work from these authors. Unfortunately I expected the stories to be connected more than they were.

Four hot brothers

Four brothers left their home town when they were old enough. After their dad dies they have to come back to the town to settle the estate. They all decided to come back and open the inn their grandfather dreamed off. Each come back not wanting to stay, but then they find reasons to. I liked how the books flows together. Great summer read.

*Thanks to NetGalley for digital copy of this book!*

This was not a great read for me. The stories were short, so there wasn't really any character development. I didn't really like most of the characters. Sometimes the stories overlapped as some things were happening simultaneously, but rather than tying the stories together, it just made them confusing, and each story a little less on its own. The beginning of each story was repetition of the first, which would have been okay if these were longer separate stories, but unnecessary as part of this book, especially since the books are short to start with.

Aaron, Donnan, Layne, and Blake are brothers who left the hometown they hated as soon as they could. When their father died, they learned they had been left land of their grandfather's. He had a lodge that he had been building but never finished, and now wanted the brothers to complete the work. So their grandfather had a lodge a couple miles away from where they grew up, but they hadn't ever seen it or even heard of it? That's the first unlikely event. Then all four brothers are willing to give up their lives and individual businesses to start a resort there, in the town they hated? Second unbelievable occurrence.

Aaron and Elsie were cold and boring. They continually made clear to each other that the did not want a relationship. And they ended up together based on what? All they did was have sex and then were chasing each other across the country for a relationship. There wasn't an actual relationship ever established in the story. They never fell in love. And I don't even know how often the phrase "submissive woman" came up in regards to Aaron's choice of companions, but it was too many times. And "no woman would stand in his way" - nice.

Donnan is the playboy, with no skills, as his brothers continue to tell him. There is more of an actual plot in this story, but the plot is ridiculaous. Emina is being blackmailed into marriage, with the fate of her brother at risk. Human trafficking poorly addressed in a short romance story - really?

Layne the lawyer and Raven the paint dancer. So she took a stranger home, even though he knew his name and where he lived? Then had unprotected sex, and got pregnant, but it was all okay because he fell in love with her at first sight.

And Blake, the dentist. Miserable about having moved there and hadn't had a good relationship with his brothers, even though this is never mentioned in the previous stories, which emphasise their strong bond. It is not believable, and somewhat disturbing, to read about a dentist appointment being a turn-on. I don't care who the dentist is, I don't buy it. Callie lives with Curtis for 5 years, finds out he cheated on her with his secretary, leaves him, and takes their planned romantic trip to the resort solo. She and Blake meet and it's predictable and cute. But then Curtis shows up, she happily goes with him, has a charming enjoyable dinner with him, and doesn't even think to contact Blake. Curtis ends up trying to murder Callie because of an insurance policy. He has this discussion in a public place in the presence of others. In the murder scene, we find out that he's been married to his secretary the whole time, and it's all been a plan to get the million dollar insurance policy. A million dollars is not nearly enough money to play that kind of in-depth long game.

It was a quick read though, and not poorly written.

The Mac Brothers are 4 brothers who inherited property from their father that they decide to turn into a luxurious, exclusive resort, set in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Seaside Seduction by Angela Ford: 2 stars. I didn't like this one at all. Not only is it way too short for either character to be developed fully, but I didn't connect with either the H or the h. Aaron and Elsie are both used to control in the bedroom and neither sleeps with the same person more than twice, once preferably. She's at the resort for her sister's wedding, and to write an article about the 4 hot Mac brothers. Aaron's used to submissive women only, but when he meets Elsie this preference ends up being challenged because she's no submissive. I found myself really disliking Elsie. She's cold and unlikable. Aaron is only a tad more likable, but not much. I didn't feel much of a connection between the two other than the physical, and even that wasn't that hot.

Seaside Playboy by Jennifer Conner: 4 stars. I've already read and reviewed this story and really liked it.

The Mac Brothers Series (18)

Seaside Playboy is a short, sweet insta-love romance. Donnan is one of 4 brothers who inherited a seaside resort. They've come back to the resort to restore it to its once glory. Donnan is a man who's mainly lived his life without roots, taking pleasure as he finds it and not settling down anywhere. But now he's back with his brothers and has taken on the position of Activities Director, so when his brother Aaron informs him that a bachelorette party is coming, he knows just what he'll do. He plans lots of activities with alcohol for the first night and sailing and hiking for the other days. What he didn't plan on was being so attracted to the brunette beauty who just happens to be the bride...

Emina is a successful model who's only modeling and marrying her fiancé because he's got leverage on her - he's sponsoring her younger brother's residence in Canada (Nova Scotia), and will take away that sponsorship and have him sent back to Bosnia if she doesn't just model for his agency, but also marry him so he can make all kinds of money off her beauty. Yeah, her fiancé is a real prince. But, when Emina meets Donnan, she's attracted to him and the way he makes her feel - safe. After one sexy romp while hiking, it's clear that it's not just attraction happening between the two. But, how can they possibly make something work if she's marrying Vitaly in a few short days, and he holds her brother's fate in his sleazy hands?

I like Seaside Playboy. It's sweet and sexy, and short enough to entertain for an hour or two. Donnan and his brothers are great characters, surprisingly fleshed out for such a short story. Donnan does some character growth even in short amount of time. I'm not that fond of the insta-love aspect, but it's necessary in a short story like this. Emina and her brother are great characters and it's nice to see Donnan become attached to both of them.

Seaside Rendezvous by Natalie-Nicole Bates: 4 stars. This is by far my favorite of the Mac brother series. Layne is the lawyer of the bunch and Raven is a paint dancer at the club Paint. When she sees Layne at the club acting very strangely, she knows she has to help him. He's there in his expensive suit, obviously having just been drugged, she knows there's no way she can leave him to get robbed or worse, so she takes him to her apartment, helps him take a bath then gives him a bed to sleep it off. When he wakes up, he remembers everything, and not only is he grateful to her, but he's in lust and love with the raven haired beauty whom he considers his angel.

But, can a fancy lawyer and a party girl ever make a relationship work? Especially when an unforeseen complication comes up? They can if they're both determined, and if they come to realizations about each other. Raven and Layne make a hot couple, and though short, Seaside Rendezvous doesn't feel rushed at all.

Seaside Passion by Tammy Tate: 3 stars. This one is a bit strange. I kind of felt lost throughout. I never felt a strong connection between Blake and Callie and the one steamy scene was lacking in intensity. The bit of suspense that came toward the end was completely out of left field and really added nothing to the story. Sorry, I just couldn't get into Seaside Passion.

The Mac Brothers Series (20)

The Mac Brothers is a bit of hit or miss. Two of them I really liked and the other two I didn't like at all. Perhaps it's because they're all written by different authors, so the continuity is a bit lacking.

I received an ARC through NetGalley for an honest review.
